Standup paddleboarding

Grab Your Board and Head to the Allersee Lake

Standup paddleboarding is a popular sport that takes place out on the water, where you stand up straight on a board and use a paddle to move around. It is not only a fun activity, but can also be used as a form of physical training.

In fact, one of the great things about standup paddleboarding is that it provides your body with a joint-friendly workout from head to toe. Your dynamic movement on the water places a special focus on your sense of balance and your core muscles, both of which are important factors when it comes to combating a common health problem: back pain. Standup paddleboarding also helps to strengthen your legs and the muscles in your upper body.

At the Colombian Pavilion you have the possibility to borrow boards at the weekend between 11am and 5pm. With 10 boards on offer. This offer is available to the 28th of June. You have never done stand up paddling? May be a course with personal trainer Marcus Buchholz is the right thing. There you can learn the first steps on the board.

It is also possible to rent boards at the monkeyman high ropes course. There are 8 single boards and a monster board available. The monster board is suitable for 4 persons and guarantees a lot of fun. The SUPs can be booked on the website of the high ropes course.

For all SUP athletes who have bought their own board and would like to use this on the allersee lake often, the “Wolfsburger Ruder-Club” is the best port. As a member (from 9,00EUR / month), the board can be stored in the “Wolfsburger Ruder-Club” (storage 30, - EUR / year) and the users have a good access via little piers to the allersee lake and the canal. If you are interested you can contact SUP@wob-rc.de.

Note: During events on the allersee lake it isn’t possible to do stand up paddling. Please pay attention to this fact and we thank you in advance for your understanding!
